Natchez-Adams County is served by two modern, health care facilities. Both are acute-care hospitals licensed by the Joint Commission on Accreditation for Healthcare Organization.

Natchez Community Hospital is a healthcare innovator: a community hospital that dedicates its resources toward the physical and economic well being of the Miss Lou area. Since opening in 1973, this 101 bed facility has blazed new trails in leadership and community service. Providing the latest healthcare technology requires a significant investment. A $1.6 million expansion and renovation program was completed in 1996 on the surgery and emergency room departments at the hospital. It was the first hospital in the area to offer the Magnetic Resonance Imager. They are also the only hospital to offer Mobile Lithotripsy services in this area. In addition to these services, they also have a Problem Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine Department, as well as a Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Unit. Natchez Regional Medical Center, with 205 licensed beds, serves as a regional health care facility to those within a 50-70-mile radius. The hospital recently completed a $15 million expansion and renovation project, housing an imaging center, intensive care and coronary care units, dialysis center, medical records, security, labor and delivery unit, education department, social services and emergency services, also provided by American Medical Response.
