Natchez offers many varied community activities in which retirees may participate. Twenty-five church denominations are represented in Natchez including Baptist, Catholic, Episcopalian, Judaism, Lutheran, Methodist, Pentecostal, and Presbyterian. Volunteer opportunities abound in Natchez. Natchez has many types of volunteer organizations from which to choose, ranging from arts to charity. Among the organizations are the Natchez Retiree Partnership, Auburn Antebellum Home, Historic Natchez Foundation, TRIAD, Natchez Little Theatre, the Institute for Learning in Retirement, Natchez Music Festival, 4-H Youth Club, Habitat for Humanity, Pleasant Acre Day School, The Stewpot, Red Cross, Boy's and Girl's Club United Way of the Greater Miss-Lou, and American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Educational opportunities exist for retirees in Natchez as well. Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Natchez Campus, offers credit and non-credit courses to the mature adult. Special interest and continuing education classes are reasonably priced and short term. Co-Lin also sponsors Elderhostel and Elderhappening sessions throughout the year which focus on the history of Natchez. The Institute for Learning in Retirement at Co-Lin is member driven organization which is an opportunity for retirees to plan and implement programs they are interested in pursuing.
